What it is

What the assessment
covers.

The UK AI Group AI maturity assessment is free and takes about six minutes. You answer 18 plain-English questions across six areas: direction, customers, everyday work, marketing, data, and people and safety. Each question scores 0 to 4 and each area is normalised to 100. You get an instant maturity stage, your strongest foundations, your best opportunities and a branded PDF to keep. No technical knowledge is needed.

Direction and confidence
Whether AI ideas have a named owner and are judged on practical value, such as time saved or better service, rather than novelty.
Customers and conversations
How quickly enquiries are answered, whether follow-ups happen on their own, and whether your common answers are written down anywhere.
Everyday work
How much repeated admin is still done by hand, and whether information moves between people and systems without being copied across.
Marketing and digital presence
Whether your website is current enough for anything to answer from it, and whether there is written guidance on tone and message.
Data and connected systems
Whether your customer and business information is accurate, readable by a system, and shared between the tools you already run.
People, safety and adoption
Whether your team knows where AI helps, which tools are approved, who checks the output, and how you learn from small trials.

How the score works

Scored the same
way for everyone.

Every question scores 0 to 4. Each area is normalised to 100 and your overall score is the average of the six area scores, which places you in one of five plain-English maturity stages rather than leaving you to interpret a percentage. A low score is a prompt for a conversation, not an automatic recommendation to buy anything.

What happens next
Your results appear straight away and your PDF is prepared at the same time. If you would like to go further, the free findings conversation uses your assessment as context: we discuss the scores, learn how the business actually works and identify practical discovery opportunities. If nothing is worth doing yet, we will say so.
What we do with your details
We use them to provide your results, discuss them when you ask us to and prepare a tailored discovery pack. We do not sell your data. Records are kept in a restricted Google Drive workspace for 24 months from your last contact with us and then deleted, unless you become a client. See our Privacy notice, or email hello@ukaigroup.com to ask for access, correction or deletion.
